X-9 Nighthawk cycle

X-9 Nighthawk is an experimental frame made out of sandwich panels with aramid honeycomb as a core, covered with carbon fiber skins.

The frame structure was created from honeycomb sandwich panels which were water-jet cut, connected and laminated over by carbon fiber.
X-9 Nighthawk with handlebars, fork and the new BME S72 saddle prototype. The handlebars with the stem were made out of carbon fiber, the carbon fork was shaped to fit the frame design.

The X-9 Nighthawk frame was completed in December 2011, while the fully assembled singlespeed bike equipped with belt drive was presented to the public at Berliner Fahrradshau in Berlin in March 2012 where attracted a lot of attention.
